New Cricut cartridges!! ;)

Michael's had these babies on sale this past week. I got new Cricut cartridges!!! :)I'm so excited over these...the price too!! I paid $44.99 for them...they are regular priced at $89.99. I haven't had time to get the Cricut out and actually do anything with them yet but I looked at them on the Studio Design and I think they are going to be lots of fun. Purchasing the Cricut Expression was the best purchase I've made for my scrapbooking!! I didn't pay full price for it either...I would never have shelled out the full price for it. o_0 I found it at our Wal-Mart clearanced down to $189.00. I'm all about the sales!!! :)
I would like to get a lot more of these...Michael's usual has good sales pretty often so maybe before long I can add to my collection. :)

What I've been up to!! :)

This is what I've been up to! I made a chipboard album of my 2 boys. I spent a lot of time on this album. The only thing I did I didn't like was...I added too much ink when I inked up the edges. It looks a little too dirty to me. Oh well I guess it still looks good. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. I had so much fun making this cute little album!! :)

I lined up the boys faces so they would show through the letter holes!

I love this photo of my babies! Brandon always pushed Alan's swing when he was sitting in it! They were such happy little boys!! :)

This is my youngest boy. Can't believe he is 18 and a senior in high school! They grow up so fast!! o_0

This is my oldest! Can't belive he is 20 years old!! I miss the days when they would crawl in my lap for cuddles!! :(  I'm so proud of the men they are becoming tho!! :)

I always add a little journaling to the back of my album...just to let everyone know I made it and when it was made. These animal stickers are so cute! I found them at Target and I only paid about half price for them! Sales are always good!!! :)

Scrappin a Can

This was a big can of mixed nuts we bought at Walmart. I didn't really care for the taste of them but Hubby did so I guess we will be buying more...I will just scrap the cans when he finishes them!! :) I can give them away as gifts but this one will hold some of my scrappin' supplies on my desk!!

Here it is with some of my scrappin' supplies. I think it is a little too big around for my pens but oh well it will do!! :) I think it turned out really cute!! :)

I have to go buy some mores supplies for another project I've been working on later today. My dad is going we me...we are also going to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin. I have seen them in a while so I'm excited!! :) I hope everyone has a blessed day!! :)

trying this blogging thingy again! ;)

I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged last!! :( It's been way over a year! Oh well I'm going to give it another try! I lost interest in most things for a while but I have decided the things I was dwelling on are still going to be there unless I let them go...I have decided to let them go because I can't change what's happen there! Takes a while for me to realize things! Oh well...yea I know I said I was letting them go! o_0

I rearranged my scrapping room and re-organized everything. Here it is!!

Notice everything has a place and is in it's place!!
Now look...this is the same table after a creative spurt!!

Wow what a difference!! But this is what I made!! Cool huh?

I started this at the scrapbook class that Nikki Sivils taught a class at!! I meet a real scrapbook designer!! She was super cool and very sweet! She explained everything very well! First class or crop I have ever attended and now I'm hooked!! I won a totebag with her company logo embordiered on it!!
The town we live in doesn't have a scrapbook store!:( So I had to travel quite a way to go to a store! The store I was going to is about 70 miles away. I found another store in a town that is about 35 miles away!! Half the distance...so I can attend special classes and crops now!!!
I'm planning to update my blog daily!!
I hope I can do this better than before!! :)

New stuff

My sister and I went shopping and I bought lots of new scrapbooking products. Problem is I have sooooo many ideas floating around inside my head, I don't know where to start. I've had a creative block also that has been going on for a while. I hate it when that happens but hopefully I can get in my scrapbook room and look at all my new stuff and the ideas and creativeness will flow forth!! :)
I have new acrylic stamps and 12 new pigment ink pads!! I also have new ribbon and paper flowers. I bought some acrylic dots to put in the middle of flowers for their centers. I bought some new papers and some more Precious Moments stickers for my baby layouts. I also bought more Germany things for hubby's Germany scrapbook.I have lots of ideas I just need to get them in order.
I will post pics when I get something done!

I love this product!!

Doodlebug Crushed Velvet Flock
This is the stuff I used on my chicken pox layout
You do have to make sure you press it on with your finger tip before you shake off the excess velvet. I used 2 sided stickers for the adhesive. It is fun to work with and goes a long way!!:)
I didn't get a photo but I made a card using it and 2 sided flower stickers.....it was really cute!!:)
While at the scrapbook store I also discovered another product I would love to try but they didn't have the colors I want. As with any new product it goes pretty fast and they haven't had a chance to restock. Anyways it is Tim Holtz distress crackle paint!! Maybe I'll order it online...I have to wait tho...I've already spent enough on scrapbooking supplies for the month. I must budget or I will get carried away!!o_0
Anyways give the velvet a try, I'm sure you'll love it too!! ;)

Oh No Chicken Pox

I tried to get this 2 page layout done for an eternity!! You can not find stickers or die cuts for chicken pox!! I didn't have much luck anyways. Finally I got my ideas from the scrapbook store I just discovered in The Woodlands!! The Lone Star Scrapbook Company
I used designs by reminisce kitchen silhouette paper for the chickens. The page was a 12x12 with squares of chickens covering it.I cut out the individual squares and place them on the page with pop dots foam. I found self sticking journal blocks made by the same company for my journaling.

My babies were soooo sick in these photos!! Luckily they got the chicken pox early in their childhood and got them over with!! Poor babies!!:(

Our oldest child was and still is always worried about our youngest!! He was feeling just as crappy as the baby(he was just a baby himself!) but he still tried to comfort him with cookies...as the photos show...it worked!! :)

For the pox spots around the photos I used Doodlebug crushed velvet flock and 2 sided stickers. Wonderful stuff I found at the Lone Star Scrapbook Co.
I'm really excited about this layout!! :)

Better Photos

I posted these layouts awhile back but the photos of them made them look old. These photos show them alot better!!
I love Precious Moments stickers on my kids layouts!! They are well....precious!! ;)

Watermelon!

My youngest doing what else but eating watermelon!! :)

I thought the background paper looked like watermelon stripes!! Close up the photo matting paper looks like the meat of a watermelon!!
I also found the perfect Precious Moments sticker and placed it in the bottom corner!! :)
The photo is kinda dark. I tried to fix it in my photo editor but I couldn't help it much. It was such a cute photo tho I had to scrapbook it!! :)

Only thing I didn't add....something to look like watermelon seeds!! If I decide to add some I'll repost this layout...but I think it looks good without them.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!! :)

Boys N Toys :)

Well I finally got another page done!! :)

2 page layout of my middle son's car obsession!! :)

He always told his Daddy..."I'm gonna be a record driver!!" lol...his words for wrecker driver!! :)
He now works with his Grandad...who drives a wrecker(tow truck)!!

I used my new stamp to add the roadway and cars to the edge of white paper and used stamp ink markers to "color in" the cars. I then added a piece of red paper to the middle of the white paper. Then I used my little boy stamp to add cuteness to my journaling!! I used memory pencils to "color in" the little boy. The " boys n toys" letters are chipboard that I painted and stamped. I matted the photos with scrap pieces of white paper.

I had a lot of fun making these pages today!! :)
The memories that scrapbooking conjures up are wonderful!! :)
